About Us

What is MOPS?
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. MOPS exists to encourage, equip and help women become better moms. Women who are pregnant or have young children are invited to join MOPS. Our meetings feature a topical speaker or creative craft along with discussion time to meet other moms. Each meeting includes childcare with activities and a snack for children during every meeting.

Who can be in MOPS?
Stop by for a meeting. We would love to meet you. MOPS is open to ANY mother of children through the age six.

When and where does MOPS meet?
Meetings are generally held on the first and third Wednesday of the month from (September through May) from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. See our calendar for variations in dates. All meetings are held at Northwest Covenant Church in Mt. Prospect.

What do you do at MOPS meetings?
Bi-monthly meetings include food, fellowship, various speakers, discussion group time, and crafts – that you can do. Check the schedule to see what is going on this week.

What do I do with my children?
Childcare is provided through our MOPPETS program. The children are in age appropriate rooms with at least two adults. Depending on the age, they might have a snack and do a craft.

What does it cost to join MOPS and attend meetings?
The total cost to join MOPS is $50 per semester with or without children utilizing child care. This cost helps offset the rising cost of hospitality items, speaker fees and craft items.

How do I register for MOPS?
Attend our Kickoff Registration Event on September 4th or just join any meeting. A registration form can be found here.

How do I receive updates about MOPS?
Our Facebook Page and nwcmops.blogspot.com are the main vehicle to find the latest and greatest information. Subscribe via email for the most up to date information. Watch your email for invitations for each meeting.

How do I find a phone number for the moms I meet? We distribute a group directory so that you can get in touch with other moms in the group. Please do not use these directories for solicitation purposes.

Ready to join us? Come on a Wednesday morning. If time is tight, fill out your registration form early and bring it with you.  Got a question?  Just email us: nwcmops@gmail(dot)com.
