Oakton
Community College offers an intermediate level computer class in
Spanish. The focus of the class will be on Microsoft Word. Registration
on site.
This
introductory class will teach you essential Internet skills and
provide you with enough basic information to avoid some of the
all-too-common Internet pitfalls. Walk in a novice; walk out a
"Googler."
Introduction to Word
Monday June 3, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. REGISTER
The
Introduction to Microsoft Word class will introduce you to essential
word processing functions and guide you through various ways to
manipulate and format text. The new "Office Button" and "Ribbon" menu
scheme will be explained. You will need to have basic mouse and
keyboarding skills to appreciate this class.
Basic Computer Skills
Wednesday June 5, 10 - 11:30 a.m. REGISTER
Does
it seem like absolutely everybody but you is using a computer? Then
the Basic Computer Skills class is for you. You will learn the handful
of basic mouse and typing skills that are needed to use simple computer
programs and perform tasks online. The class will be as much fun as it
is informative.
My MediaMall Lab
Thursday June 6, 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
The
MyMediaMall Lab is an opportunity to work with a library staff member
to learn about using MyMediaMall for free downloadable audiobooks and
ebooks. No registration is required.
